December 2017 Stirpes Released

TxSGS’s latest digital issue of Stirpes, the Journal of the Texas State Genealogical Society, has been posted and TxSGS members have been notified. The print edition will be mailed early next week.

With an emphasis on “Going Home,” the December 2017 issue of Stirpes captures the adventures undertaken by our members as they travel to their ancestors’ home place, whether it’s in their own backyard, in Texas, other places in the U.S. or around the globe. The stories include meeting relatives, finding old records, and the feelings that accompany walking in their ancestors’ footsteps. In addition, this issue also includes research articles, partner society and TxSGS news, and more. Take a “Look Inside” this issue to learn more.

  1. I renewed my membership at the $50 level which says plus print Stirpes. I never received a print copy of Stirpes last year. Will I receive it in 2018 or does it mean that I can PRINT Stirpes?

    • Mary,
You will receive a print edition of Stirpes delivered to your mailbox in addition to a digital copy delivered to your inbox. The digital copy arrives two to three weeks or more before the print edition shows up in your mailbox. Last year, you were a digital subscriber so did not receive a print Stirpes. If you have further questions, please contact me a memberinfo@txsgs.org.
      Best Regards,
      Susan Ball, Director of Membership
