TIGR 2019 – Which Course is for You?

TIGR 2019 features five days of intense learning, taking research skills to a new level. This in-depth institute is slated Monday, June 10 – Friday, June 14, 2019, at the Crowne Plaza Austin, 6121 North Interstate Highway 35, Austin, Texas.

Two courses focus on either Texas or Southern US research.

  • Texas Research Essentials, coordinated by noted Texas records expert Kelvin Meyers, guides attendees through myriad intricacies of Texas records and research spanning early Spanish exploration and colonization through the Texas Republic and beyond.
  • Advanced Southern Research Techniques, led by nationally recognized author, lecturer, and genealogist, J. Mark Lowe, CG®, FUGA, introduces participants to more complex records necessary to substitute for missing vital records as well as how to find and use these obscure and valuable resources.
