Austin Genealogical Society Annual Seminar features master genealogist Thomas Jones in two workshops and one day-long seminar.

April 28th and 29th, 2017

  • Workshops:  Friday, April 28th (1:00pm – 4:00pm)
  • Seminar: Saturday, April 29th (8:00am – 3:00pm):

Thomas Jones is one of the top genealogists in the U.S., known for his personal genealogy and writing, his masterful texts (considered genealogy requirements), and his teaching abilities. Join Tom and Austin genealogists for two days of learning to jumpstart your solutions to genealogical mysteries.

On Friday afternoon, April 28, Tom will lead two workshops on census solutions and alternatives, and on correlating sources and evidence to solve problems.

On Saturday, April 29, he will cover four significant topics:

  • Solving family mysteries using autosomal DNA
  • Creating family histories of lasting value
  • Finding “unfindable” ancestors
  • Five proven techniques for finding your ancestors’ European origins
