Lee-Lee - Joshua B. Lee and Margaret Ann "Peggy" Lee - Brief bio

Joshua B. Lee was born in Kentucky and lived in Illinois as well. There are land grants that name Joshua B. Lee, seperating him from other Lee men. He came to Texas with first wife Margaret Ann "Peggy" Lee. They had four children together: Nancy Felinda Lee, William C. Lee, John T. Lee Sr., and an unnamed infant. Peggy is assumed to have died in child birth or at the same time as infant in 1850. She does not exist in records after that time. Joshua B. Lee married Zuritha Roberts in 1852 in Collin County. He and Zuritha also had four children together: James Edward "Ed" Lee, Elizabeth C. Lee, Joshua Bartlett "Bart" Lee, Jr., Francis Marion Lee.

Son William C. Lee is buried in Fitzhugh Cemetery, died in 1859, the same year as his father. There is another man named William C. Lee but he is buried elsewhere. William C. is buried in Forrest Grove, Collin County, Texas in Fitzhugh Cemetery. This is a very old cemetery. An image of his stone is on FindAGrave but is unreadable.

Joshua B. Lee is noted as pioneer settler in the 1850s. He owned a large amount of land and is found in tax rolls, agricutural records, probate, and other records.
