Genealogy Essentials Series 2 – Course Requirements, Policies, and FAQs

Requirements

Since these courses are offered online, you can watch / listen to them from home or anywhere at any time. You need either a tablet of computer with internet access. Each lesson if pre-recorded and available for forty-five days from the time the time you begin the course (August 3, 2026 – September 16, 2026). This permits you to access the recordings and other materials that may be provided by the instructors (examples, exercises, and quizzes.

To optimize your online learning experience, you will also have access to recorded interviews with each instructor that cover frequently asked questions about the content of each course.

TxSGS grants a license to an individual to take this course. This provides a nonexclusive, non-tranferable right to the course materials for that student only for their personal educational use. Access to this information may not be shared with anyone else. All students work independently.

How Long Does It Take to Complete this Course

These online courses are geared toward individuals who have schedules that are varied and my include work, volunteer, and personal demands. You prioritize your time management and your learning so your course work can be scheduled at your own pace. Upon registration, you have access to the course for forty-five (45) days from the date of registration (August 3-September 16, 2026).

When Does the Course Begin

All registrants will receive an email confirmation of registration on the day they register online. On August 3  registrants will receive another email with a link to the course library and additional instructions about how to watch the course.
