San Angelo Historical and Genealogical Society
The San Angelo Genealogical and Historical Society supports genealogists who live and research Concho Valley genealogists in their pursuit of their ancestry by:
- conducting educational activities;
- promoting interest in genealogical and historical research;
- collecting and preserving documents pertaining to the history of West Texas; and
- supporting the repository and genealogy library, The West Texas Collection, at ASU through donations of genealogical and historical materials.
Meetings are at 7:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month, September through May, for a presentation on a historical or genealogical topic. Society of the Sons and Daughters of World War II Veterans
The Society of Sons and Daughters of WWII Veterans is a genealogy program dedicated to preserving the memory and stories of America’s “Greatest Generation.” There are three levels of membership: Lineal Membership, Collateral Membership, and Memorial Membership. The Society is open to Veterans of all theaters of WWII and is operated by the Admiral Nimitz Foundation in support of the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, Texas.
