TxSGS Announces 2021 Writing and Website Award Winners

TxSGS is pleased to announce winners of the 2021 TxSGS Research, Writing, and Website awards. Those that won awards represent the best in a competitive field that keeps getting better each year. For persons new to TxSGS, the Awards Program, in the spirit of competition,
• Encourages members to write and tell their story;
• Recognizes scholarly research and professional writing; and
• Values the recording of information for future generations.

The Awards Program received many quality submissions. Overall entries were some of the best received in recent competitions. TxSGS thanks the chairs of the various categories including Pat Gordon, Manuscripts; Fran Ellsworth, Periodicals; Bill Buckner, Books; Pat Metcalfe, Student Projects; and Randy Whited, Websites, along with the judges they recruited.

Congratulations to each and every author, editor, society, compiler, indexer, transcriber, and webmaster for their success! See a complete list of the recipients.

TxSGS would like to thank everyone that entered this year’s competition as well as our volunteer judges. We encourage our members to continue to write and consider submitting an entry for the 2022 Awards Program.
