The March 2020 Stirpes focuses on “Finding Females.” We all have our brick wall ancestors, but nothing challenges us like researching the right side of our pedigree chart, those elusive women who seemed to exist only in the shadows of their husbands. This issue focuses on finding those females through a wide variety of records and includes articles on ways to use census and other records to trace the women in your family as well as tips on how to analyze every aspect possible to complete your story.  Women serving in the military, leading the way for voting rights, and more illuminate the variety of roles women have played in our history and will continue to play. It is part of our mission to help genealogists discover and tell those stories.
